The campaign started in August with 27 UCL member clubs and after four rounds we are now down to one club left in this famous competition.

Dereham Town 1-2 Boston Town

The home side took the lead in the 11th minute when Danny Beaumont was upended on the edge of the penalty area and the striker dusted himself down to drill home the resulting free kick into the bottom corner. The Poachers equalised against the run of play when Ben Davidson’s long range effort took a deflection to deceive the home keeper. Three minutes Boston took the lead through Simon Ashton headed home a well placed cross and the visitors held on for an excellent win.

Deeping Rangers 2-4 Kidderminster Harriers

The visitors opened up a three goal interval lead but had to dig in deep in the second half as Deeping threatened to force their way back into the tie.  It took Harriers 33 minutes to break the deadlock, Andre Brown smashing home into the top corner. Emmanuel Sonupe made it 2-0 on 40 minutes, cleverly lobbing keeper Bircham and then he struck again from the penalty spot a minute before the break. Deeping lifted their game after the break and reduced the arrears in the 53rd minute through Daniel Schiavi from a resulting corner. The visitors restored their three goal advantage through Andre Wright who kept his cool to finish well. Deeping made things interesting when they responded in the 77th minute through a neat finish from Scott Mooney’s free kick.

Rangers can seek consolation in defeat by the game being streamed  live on the BBC Sport and an excellent pay day topped up by an record crowd of 696.
